Epson awarded ISEGA EU food labelling accreditation for its ColorWorks C3500 digital label printer

This means that labels1 printed by Epson’s ColorWorks C3500 label printer are regarded as being in compliance with European legislation2. The legislation regulates the use of labels3 which are intended to come into direct contact with food.

The ColorWorks C3500 digital label printer is able to print high resolution, bright and attractive coloured labels that meet the needs of all food producers and suppliers. The ColorWorks label printer can reproduce high quality colour images, traffic light food coding symbols, highlight nutrition value information, ingredients and allergens. The digital printer is able to produce fast, bespoke and highly durable labels at up to 103mm per second.

Many different businesses are already using Epson’s digital ColorWorks printer including drinks companies, meat and fruit suppliers, delicatessens, service stations, artisan food producers and general catering companies that sell into all the major supermarkets across Europe.

Jacob Kallergis commented: “We are delighted to receive this accreditation – it has taken over two years to achieve – and Epson is one of the first desktop inkjet label printer manufacturers on the market to have it. This means food producers and suppliers across Europe in need of on-demand colour labelling, can now use Epson’s ColorWorks digital label printer to produce labels for food products with confidence.”
