LABEL G2 chooses SurePress L-4033A
Epson interviewed Label G2’s CEO, Fabrice Coste, to find out why he decided to purchase a second SurePress L-4033A for his business.
Setting the scene
"The acquisition of a second SurePress L-4033A, has allowed us to stay closer to client demands.
Today, we have the hardware capabilities to offer prototypes to clients so that we can carry out
label testing."
Our company has evolved thanks to the purchase of two SurePress L-4033A. We are no longer forced to turn down orders, particularly in the wine sector where special vintages require large print runs.
"From a results perspective, we are extremely satisfied with the printing quality of the SurePress L-4033A, which is exactly what we were promised by the Epson team. The promising results of the first machine reinforced our decision to stay with the brand's product range when increasing our
machine stock."
Quality
"This is a vital factor in reaching our target markets. In four years, I have seen the mindset of our clients change, they have become more serious, more demanding. With the SurePress, I have experienced amazing quality, astonishing even on Aquarello type viniculture media, almost equivalent to that achieved with offset printing presses, with sharp lettering, very beautiful flat tints and beautiful process printing, due to the implementation of hexachrome technology. But also for other markets and on all types of types of media whether coated or not, polypro, film, metal, etc. This qualitative criterion was definitely a key factor in my decision to buy."
Easy to use
"After four days of training, the operator was up to speed and able to train a second employee. The operations are easy to integrate for a professional with DTP experience. In addition, my team is motivated, competent and like to be involved. The Epson support team has always been available and efficient."
Efficiency and time saving
"By switching to the SurePress, we have been able to make certain historical files printed traditionally profitable. The relatively low output of the machine, especially in relation to semi rotary printing, is not a problem. In fact, it is more of a benefit, as it fits perfectly with the DTP team's planning who have integrated this new activity as a background task. The integration of the SurePress has not resulted in any hiring of staff, yet we have been able to bring in a surprising amount of additional revenue. In the current climate, this is an indisputable comparative advantage."
Compact design and the environment
“From a logistics point of view, the SurePress offers the advantage of being compact. It also has the feature that it doesn't require any pre-treatment of the paper. Therefore, we use the same adhesive media as we do for our letterpress printers, which avoids us having two types of stock, so here again we gain space. We also benefit from the fact that the media is the same as we no longer throw away the end of rolls from our letterpress printers: we now reuse them on the SurePress.
"The SurePress allows us to go even further and offer other services, such as being able to test labels for our clients' sales teams. A valuable service which today has led us to say that the SurePress has exceeded our expectations."
