D’SIGN chooses Epson Stylus Pro GS6000
One of the aims of print service provider, D’SIGN sign factory in Switzerland, is to constantly improve and expand its performance and the services it offers. Since it was established in 2002, the company has produced prints for advertising and interior design as well as glass finishing. The company’s extensive range includes traditional products such as large-format printing, labelling and display advertising, alongside specialist areas such as wall and canvas images for bespoke interior design.
The company has the very highest requirements in product quality because: "Advertising, interior design and glass finishing are our passion," explains Denis Limacher, Managing Director and founder of the company. "We specialise in printing and labelling of the widest range of materials and in the supply and installation of systems, films and products for these sectors."
D’SIGN sign factory mainly prints vinyl films, display media, PVC sheets and board materials. Customers as diverse as the Eurocentres language schools, Mövenpick and Amplifion hearing aids have already benefited from their expertise.
A team of specialists looks after the production until the output is ready. In addition to high-quality production equipment, it is also the reliability and passion of each individual employee which allows perfect print quality to be achieved at low costs. A new addition to the professional printing team is the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000, a 64-inch (162.6 cm) large-format printer, that can be used inside, thanks to the odourless UltraChrome GS ink set.
"With the Epson inks, no harmful or volatile organic compounds are released and therefore no ventilation system is needed and less maintenance is required. We pass on the savings directly to our customers, which makes us even more competitive," adds Limacher. "The practical, odourless prints are even suitable for areas such as interior spaces."
Colour accuracy and wide gamut
When printing billboards, it is often also necessary to reproduce company logos. The reproduction must be as close as possible to the original because companies place great importance on the precise reproduction of the colour of their logo. The Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 has an 8-colour inkset (C, M, Y, K, LM, LC, OR, GR) so, with the special addition of the green and orange, it considerably expands the gamut of colours available. In addition to very precise reproduction of special colours, this also delivers extraordinarily good print quality – not least in the reproduction of critical skin tones and natural green tones.
Flexibility
A further strength of the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 is its flexibility. Because one machine can process lots of different materials, even small orders can be processed quickly and reliably.
"Thanks to the high print quality, we have been able to move into new areas of business such as fine art printing. And even the smallest labels are printed with impressive detail and are pleasing to the eye of even our demanding clients. The print quality, speed and versatility of the Epson has increased our competitiveness – and I cannot imagine a better argument for a print solution," concludes Denis Limacher.
