Baufinanz chooses WorkForce Pro WP-4525 DNF
If, like today, mortgages are at favourable rates and, as a result, more and more people want to have their own roof over their heads, then mortgage providers like Baufinanz-Plus GmbH & Co. KG from Düsseldorf can certainly benefit from this.
Dreams come true
The company was founded by Heinz Wiedefeld in Düsseldorf, Germany, in 2005. Today, the seven employees are mainly involved with the financing of dream homes and the purchase and sale of property. In addition, for about the last three years there has been a shared office arrangement with a Provinzial branch as, according to Heinz Wiedefeld, the managing partner: "For every property transaction, there is almost always insurance involved. The shared office helps us to offer our clients an even better service."
For some months, part of the Baufinanz-Plus team has been using Epson's WorkForce Pro WP-4525 DNF multifunction printer. "As well as the usual office documents, we often also print high-quality photos of properties and long reports as well," explains Heinz Wiedefeld. "In addition, we rely on an electronic document management system meaning that, as well as printing them, the scanning of documents is also an important part of our day to day work."
Highlighter-proof top quality printing
In documents such as floor plans, building plans and contracts, it is often necessary to make comments, or to delete or emphasise parts. This is where Epson's WorkForce Pro plays to one of its strengths, as its DURABrite ink is both water and smudge resistant, even if the page has just come out of the printer. "The durability of prints is just as important for us as smear resistance, for example, helps if we have to go through the document with a highlighter," continues Wiedefeld.
"Despite this, the device must deliver excellent quality because, when we produce a report with photos, for example, the report is a reflection of our work for the client. Epson print quality really is extraordinarily good. We couldn't say that about our old laser printer."
Additional benefits of inkjet printers in the office are the simple operation of the machines and their fast print speed. This is because, unlike a laser printer, an inkjet printer does not have to warm up. This saves time and electricity.
"When I send a print job from my computer, the printer starts to print straight away. With our old laser printers you always had to allow a certain amount of waiting time," says Wiedefeld.
At 3,400 pages, the duty cycle of the WorkForce is also impressive. With a monthly print volume of around 2,000 black and white and 1,000 colour pages, at the most only one cartridge change per month is needed – and this is done in a few minutes.
In its daily work, Baufinanz-Plus relies heavily on electronic files, therefore, printed documents must often be scanned to incorporate them into the internal document management system. The WorkForce Pro performs well here too, as the automatic paper feed of the flat bed scanner easily handles large volumes of paper.
"If we receive a large amount of paper with a transaction, we can easily scan it in with the built-in scanner. And, because the automatic document feeder is not brought to a halt by a folded corner, the WorkForce Pro makes this incredibly easy too," says Wiedefeld.
Conclusion
"I have an inkjet printer at home for the small print jobs that come up there. And, when my dealer said to me that I should also consider inkjet for office printing, I was rather sceptical at first. But the two devices cannot be compared and the Epson has certainly proved itself to us. Simple handling, pleasantly quiet and rapid operation, with good print quality – it provides everything we need in our office. So, as far as I am concerned: Ink in the office? Every time!"
