ColorWorks brings new colours to Czech coffee-roasting company’s labels

doubleshot s.r.o. is a Czech coffee-roasting company which also runs three cafés. The company was searching for a solution for printing colour adhesive labels for new coffee packaging. Having seen print samples from several manufacturers, it was the Epson ColorWorks C3500 that best fit the bill.

"The versatility of the ColorWorks C3500 was the decisive factor that persuaded us to purchase it." Said Jaroslav Tuček, Managing Director of doubleshot s.r.o. The company's first experience with an Epson printer was during a visit to the Gastro Fair where they were impressed by the product range.

"The Epson Colorworks C3500 label printer made an immediate impression on us with its print quality and versatility, as there are not many printers like that on the market," said Tuček. After the fair, doubleshot s.r.o went into the Epson showroom in Prague, where the C3500 was put through its paces, demonstrating all of its capabilities. On the strength of this demonstration, doubleshot s.r.o decided to purchase the printer.

"Epson ColorWorks C3500 has made it possible for us to print our own colour adhesive labels in-house according to our needs, saving us time and money that would otherwise have gone to external suppliers. Further proof of our satisfaction with Epson printers is the fact that we use Epson receipt printers in all of our cafes," says Tuček.

A customer-friendly printer

What Tuček appreciates most about the ColourWorks C3500 is how easy it is to insert labels. Each colour ink has an individual cartridge, which saves money, as the customer only has to replace the colour that has run out. The company has also had positive experiences using this printer in other operations, and they are enthusiastic about the DURABrite inks, which do not run even after prolonged exposure to water.

"Another interesting feature is printing on a continuous label roll, which the printer cuts as required, making it possible to produce labels of various sizes. Customers no longer have to stock a large number of pre-printed colour labels on which to print custom information in monochrome. With Epson Colorworks C3500, they are able to print everything with a single machine, right on the spot and when they need it," says Eduard Kotek of reseller TPC spol. s r.o.
