Epson launches the next generation of cartridge-free printers
Epson has launched the next generation of EcoTank ITS printers (L4150, L4160, L6160, L6170, L6190), which feature a major development – a new design with a front ink tank and improved bottles, making them more compact and even easier to use.
Mona Belle, product manager, Epson Europe, says: “Our original ink tank system broke away from printing conventions; it came with a substantial quantity of ink and removed the need for cartridges thanks to an integrated ultra-high-capacity ink tank fitted to the side. The latest models continue to offer the same benefits to customers while also being even easier-to-use and more compact. There are now more models across the collection, which covers home, photo, home office and small office users.”
All of the next generation EcoTank printers (L4150, L4160, L6160, L6170, L6190) are easier to use than ever before and look distinctively different. The ink tank has been moved from the side to the front offering a more compact and sleek design. This also means it’s simple to see how much ink is left in the system.
Underpinning the modified design is an enhanced ink filling system engineered to minimise the risk of spills and mess. At every stage it minimises spills with bottles that are easier to open, easy pour and feature a mechanism that ensures the right tanks are filled with the corresponding colour.
Reducing printing costs by 90% on average1, the EcoTank ITS range delivers an ultra-low cost per page thanks to the included high yield inks and ultra-high-capacity ink tank. These cartridge-free printers also save time as the user can go much longer between refills. Ensuring great value long-term, affordable low-cost refill bottles are available across the entire collection and each model is backed by an extended three year warranty (subject to terms and conditions).
Providing users the freedom to print as and when they want, these models (L4150, L4160, L6160, L6170, L6190) offer Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct and a full suite of mobile options for printing photos and documents away from a desktop2. Additionally, Ethernet and Scan-to-Cloud2 are available with a number of models (L6160, L6170, L6190).
Ideal for business tasks, the Premium EcoTank ITS printers (L6160, L6170, L6190) use the PrecisonCore printhead and Epson's genuine pigment inks to produce sharp and clear texts. Across these models there’s double-sided printing and fast print speeds of up to 15ppm3, while specific models also offer higher capacity paper trays, an automatic document feeder and fax.
The original EcoTank ITS Home range featuring a side ink tank has also been updated and features a sleeker and more compact design (L3050,L3060,L3070). These cartridge-free models continue to offer customers a great option for ultra-low-cost printing in the home.
The EcoTank ITS printers (L3050, L3060, L3070, L4150, L4160, L6160, L6170, L6190) are available from October 2017.
